Dr. Devie Neithiyar is an accomplished Indian musician, having begun her singing journey at the tender age of three. Her remarkable talent is evident through her versatile voice, which has allowed her to deliver captivating performances across various genres, including Classical (Carnatic and Hindustani), devotional, films, contemporary, jazz-fusion, and folk.

Born into an aristocratic family in Kerala, she is the daughter of Subash Chandran and Soudamini Neithiyar. Her mother played a crucial role in her early vocal training. However, it is her Guru Padmabhushan Dr. T V Gopalakrishnan who honed her skills and continues to be her guiding force.

Throughout her career, Dr. Devie Neithiyar has lent her melodious voice to various Indian music directors such as Illayaraja and Bappi Lahiri, among others.

Beyond her musical pursuits, she serves as the Executive Director of the Academy of Indian Music & Arts (AIMA), an institution established by her Guru to promote and preserve Indian music.
